Position Summary:
St. Thomas More Church in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Faith Development Assistant. The Faith Development Assistant will assist the Directors of Youth Ministry and of Elementary Faith Development in developing and implementing the Faith Development program.
Key responsibilities:
- Curriculum support and development, especially finding or preparing age-appropriate catechetical materials
- Participate in the set-up, delivery and closure of the Sunday morning and evening Faith Development sessions
- Assist with Sacramental Preparation and Vacation Bible School programs
- Recruitment, training, and support of Youth Ministry Catechists
Minimum Requirements:
- College degree with 2-3 years of experience in education/faith development PK – 12, program management
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Supervises: volunteers, as assigned
