Position Summary:
St. Egbert Catholic School is seeking a licensed school counselor to join the team. The School Counselor will contribute to a positive Catholic school culture driven by continuous professional growth, improvement, and collegial collaboration.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and implement a weekly 45-minute elective for each class.
- Implement small student support groups as needed.
- Create schedules for special events, holy days, half days.
- Prepare and lead professional staff training and parent education.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Serve as a member of the Leadership Team and other committees, as needed.
- Serve as testing coordinator for i-Ready and ARK.
- Maintain a current NC license.
- Other duties as determined by the principal.
Minimum Requirements
- Masters degree in school counseling is required.
- 3+ years of experience within school counseling is required.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training within 60 days of hire
