Position Summary:
Saint Raphael Catholic Preschool in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and qualified preschool director to lead a growing school academically and spiritually and to serve its approximately 150 early childhood students. Saint Raphael Catholic Preschool, originally called Saint Raphael Early Childhood Center, opened its doors in 1979 under the direction of Sister Francis Clare Ugast with 33 students and 4 teaching staff. Over the past 40+ years, the school has expanded considerably and currently serves 155 students guided by 25 teachers and staff. Our mission to nurture young minds, hearts and spirits has never wavered. From humble beginnings, the preschool has grown, spurred on by the involvement of committed parents and parishioners, strengthened by a devoted professional staff, and blessed by Our Lord through the intercession of Our Lady and Saint Raphael, our patron.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Be an active, fully initiated, practicing Catholic dedicated to collaborative ministry and the advancement of the vision of the Church as promoted by the Second Vatican Council.
- Be dedicated to the spiritual growth of our students and faculty.
- Be a mission-driven leader with strong integrity, sound judgment, excellent collaborative skills, and possessing a commitment to curriculum and staff development.
- Demonstrate successful experience in the areas of public relations and development, as well as budgetary and financial management skills.
- Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in technology, ability to develop strategic and long-range planning, and be able to motivate others toward task accomplishment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration/Leadership, Early Childhood Education, or a related field with a minimum of 3-5 years early childhood teaching experience.
- Experience as a Catholic School Preschool Director is preferred.
- Successfully complete all necessary criminal background and reference checks.
- Complete Diocese-sponsored Safe-Environment Training prior to first day on campus.
